FAQ

How far in advance should I book?

You should typically book a wedding 9-12 months in advance. I will only schedule one wedding a weekend. You may contact me here, to see if I have your date available.

Will you hold the date for us?

Unfortunately I am on a first-come, first-serve basis. I will only hold the date if the wedding contract is signed and the deposit is paid.

What payment(s) do you accept?

I accept all major credit cards, checks & cash. If you pay by credit card, I will send you a PayPal invoice. (You need not have a PayPal account)

If you pay by check, once the check clears the bank, your date will be reserved.

Do you offer a payment plan?

Yes I do! You will need to make your 50% deposit at the time of reservation. This is a non-refundable fee. I will take payments on the remainder of your balance. However, the amount will need to be paid in full by the time of your pre-event consultation. (Usually one month before wedding)

How much is the down payment and is it refundable?

The down payment is 50% of your package. No, the down payment is required to hold your date and is non-refundable.

When must we be paid in full?

I will require the final payment at your pre-event consultation. (Usually one month before wedding) However, if we are unable to meet for a pre-event consultation, I will still require the final payment to be made one month before the wedding date.

What is your area of service?

I am located in Bloomington, Indiana but am willing to travel to any destination within the US. Anything out of country, please contact me for a quote.

Do you offer pre-event consultations?

Yes. Around one month before the wedding date, we will meet. (I would like to meet at the wedding location.)We will discuss any photos that you want taken, family photos, and any creative ideas you have in mind.

We will also discuss the basic schedule of events of your BIG day, so that we will stay on track.

What to bring…

Any photo ideas you have seen in magazines or online that you like. I will keep these in mind and try to customize them to you and your situation.

I love to meet with the wedding couple together but if only one of you can make it, that is alright as well.

Will I be able to print my photos on my own?

Yes! You will be given a CD of all Edited-High-Resolution images. As well as a photographer’s release to be able to take these to the lab of your choice. If you would like a list of some great photo labs, please ask!

How many photos do you take at a wedding?

I take an unlimited amount of photos. On average the client receives 25-50 photos for every hour of shooting.

Do you take the traditional photos?

Yes I definitely take these! You have to keep the family happy. But if the party is willing to take some fun photos, I LOVE to do these as well!

Will you attend our rehearsal?

If you want your rehearsal to be covered by me this is an additional charge. Please contact me for amount.

What does High-Resolution mean?

High-Resolution means you will have the opportunity to print the photos at large sizes!

How long does it take to get our CD?

I tell clients to expect a wedding session to take about 3-4 weeks to edit and have the CD available to you. However, it rarely takes this long! I am normally too excited to get the editing done for your enjoyment!

Do you offer an online gallery?

Yes, your wedding guests will be given a card that will have a web address that they can go to, to order prints if they choose, or just to look at the photos. This saves you from having to share your CD and it allows Mom’s to pick out their photos without having to stand at a lab with you trying to choose which photo(s) it is that they want for themselves.

I want to BOOK! What now?

YEAH!!! I am so excited in helping to capture your BIG day! Just email me letting me know the date that you are requesting. If that date is available I will email you back the wedding contract for your review and signature. You will need to sign this and pay your deposit of 50%. I will hold the date for 48 hours to allow you the opportunity to review the contract and get me the down payment.

What happens if you get sick or something happens on the day of our wedding?

Unfortunately things happen. It’s called life! No worries!!! I have several backup photographers that help me out in a situation like this. We photographers are good like that!
